好多人都會被情態動詞搞混，can和Could，may和might ， should和must，什么時候用哪個，我們今天來捋一捋 。
Might & May【情態動詞解析: 情態動詞的should的用法】我們用might表示可能會發生的事 。比如說：
Where are you going for your holidays?
--I'm not sure. I might go to New York.
我可能會去紐約 。
It might rain.
可能會下雨 。
may和might有什么區別呢？其實兩者都可以同樣使用 ， 表示不確定，可能會發生的事 。比如：
I might go to the cinema this evening.
=I may go to the cinema this evening.
我可能今晚會去電影院 。
Sue might not come to the party tonight.
=Sue may not come to the party tonight.
Sue今晚可能不會來參加派對了 。
Can & Could我們用can來表示“知道怎么做...”或者“對某人來說，...是可操作的” 。
I can play guitar, but I can't play piano.
我會彈吉它，但是我不會彈鋼琴 。
Can you swim?
--Yes, but I'm not a very good swimmer.
如果是在過去時態里 ， 我們就用could/ couldn't 。
When I was young, I could run very fast.
當我年輕的時候，我可以跑得很快 。
Before Anna came to England, she couldn't understand much English, but she can understand everything now.
Anna去英國前不懂太多英語，但是現在她能懂所有事 。
Must & Had to & Have to我們用must來表示“必須要做的事情” 。
It's a fantastic film, you must see it.
這是部很好的電影 ， 你必須看一看 。
We must go to the bank today, We haven't got any money.
今天我們必須去趟銀行了，我們沒有錢了 。
在過去時態里，我們用had to...來表示 。
We had to go to the bank yesterday, because we haven't got any money.
我們昨天必須去銀行，因為那時候我們已經沒有錢了 。
I had to walk home last night.
昨晚我不得不走路回家 。
有小伙伴就會說了，如果按時態來算 ， had to 是過去時態，那現在時態里 ， 不應該是have to 嗎？
對的 ， 在現在時態里，must在某種情況下是可以和 have to 同等替換使用的 。
當must 和 have to 都表示“你覺得是必須的，你給出你的個人意見”時，兩者可互換使用 。比如：
It's a fantastic film, you must see it.
=It's a fantastic film, you have to see it.
這部電影很精彩，你必須去看一看/你真的得去看一看 。
當“你不是在給出你的個人意見時”，就只能用have to 。比如：
Jill won't be here this afternoon, she has to go to the doctor.
Jill下午不會在這了，她必須得去看醫生 。（這不是個人意見，而是事實，生病了必須看醫生）
In many countries, men have to do military service.
在很多國家，男性必須服兵役 。（這也不是個人意見 ， 而是國家法律規定）
Should & Shouldn't我們用should來表示“是好的，對的事，所以應該做” 。相應的，我們用shouldn't 表示“不好的 ， 不對的事，所以不應該去做” 。
Tom should go to bed earlier, he goes to bed very late and he's always tried.
Tom 應該早點去睡覺，他睡太晚了，總是困 。
